Joining the cast in Season 3, Christine Sullivan is the one member of the crew that seems to keep things together. Her mix of beauty and prudishness became the perfect target for both Harry's and Dan's attempts to win her over. Her prudishness and lack of spontaneity often conflicted with things, including having an outlined, scheduled plan for any sort of event. Eventually, Harry and Christine fell in love, and were originally going to be married. However, a last-minute renewal of "Night Court" for one more season scrapped the plans.

"Night Court" creator Reinhold Weege wanted Markie Post for the public defender role right from the beginning, but she was still playing Terri Shannon-Michaels on the TV series "The Fall Guy." After leaving the courtroom, Markie starred with John Ritter in the series "Hearts Afire." She also starred in several movies, most notably as Mary's Mom in the Cameron Diaz movie "There's Something About Mary." Most recently, Markie reunited with John Larroquette for the ABC Family Channel movie "Til Dad do Us Part."
